Satin Flycatcher Feeding Fledgeling
I was in an area setting up camera traps and I noticed a pair of satin flycatchers (Myiagra cyanoleuca) perching and calling very close to me. I investigated and it soon became apparent that they were feeding a fledgeling that had fallen out of its nest. I rescued the fledgeling and put it as high on a sapling as I could. Dutifully the female satin flycatcher came back regularly to give it some caught insects while the male continued feeding the other two offspring in the nest.
